Looking for a roofing estimate corrector?
An estimate review checks whether the scope, quantities, specifications, and prices match the documented job. FairSquare helps roofing businesses find potential corrections in an existing insurance estimate and connect each finding to its evidence.
You still verify the facts and decide what to submit. The software does not determine insurance coverage, guarantee a higher payment, or automatically change the carrier’s estimate.
Three questions for every line
Is the quantity supported?
Compare roof area, ridge and hip lengths, waste, and material coverage with the measurements. Keep the units consistent: squares, square feet, linear feet, and packages are not interchangeable.
Is it the right material and rate?
Check the material specification before comparing prices. Use an applicable estimate allowance, authorized contractor pricing, or a documented bid or invoice as the price source.
Is documented work missing?
Look for work shown in the job records but absent from the estimate. Additional tear-off layers, flashing, or related operations need evidence that they apply to this roof.
A correction should explain the difference
Illustrative quantity example
- Carrier allowance
- 50 SQ × $240 = $12,000
- Documented requirement
- 60 SQ × $240 = $14,400
- Proposed difference
- 10 SQ × $240 = $2,400
Sample quantities and prices only. This is proposed scope, not an approved or paid result.
The useful finding is not simply “the estimate is low.” It identifies the measured quantity, the applicable rate, the allowance already included, and the net difference. Your reviewer must confirm that the two quantities cover the same work and use the same measurement basis.
What to bring to an AI estimate review
- The complete carrier estimate PDF, including the latest revision.
- Roof measurements with clear units and structure labels.
- Job photos organized by building, slope, or repair area.
- Relevant material specifications, bids, invoices, or other support.
Upload only files you are authorized to use. Incomplete measurements or unclear photos should create a request for evidence, not an assumed addition. Use the roofing supplement checklist to prepare your file.
How FairSquare fits your estimating workflow
FairSquare focuses on reviewing insurance roofing estimates and preparing evidence-backed supplement findings. It does not replace the site inspection, a measurement report, your estimating license, or your team’s final approval.
It can work from Xactimate-generated estimate PDFs. See how Xactimate PDF review works, including the limits: direct ESX import/export and one-click edits inside Xactimate are not included.
The price is $299 per supplement. Third-party reports and licenses are separate. Additional carrier payment depends on the documentation, applicable coverage, and carrier review.
